Implementation of DDMRP
Implementation of DDMRP - Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning, or how to plan based on customer orders.
We offer you our 3 steps method consisting of:
Step 1. Introductory meeting on the DDMRP method
Step 2. DDP Training. Demand Driven Planner
Step 3. Pilot in Excel - workshops and implementation Coaching
- Getting to know an innovative method of supply chain management - DDMRP
- Identify where the location of the buffer will benefit the entire company
- Ability to manage inventory buffers
- Clear and understandable visualization of priorities
- Achieving the expected level of customer service
- Ensuring the availability of the necessary materials/finished products in the right quantity
See if we can help you implement DDMRP
STEP 1. INTRODUCTORY MEETING ON THE DDMRP METHOD
GOAL:UNDERSTAND THE PRINCIPLES OF DEMAND DRIVEN MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS PLANNING (DDMRP) AND DETERMINE IF IT CAN BE IMPLEMENTED IN YOUR COMPANY
Choose a few people from the team - let's meet for about 1,5-2,0 h at an introductory meeting on the DDMRP method. Learn about the assumptions of this innovative planning method - responding to the growing volatility, complexity of customer expectations, pressure to reduce inventories and decreasing customer tolerance to waiting.
- What method should replace the process of forecasting hundreds or thousands of indexes?
- How do you deliver the level of customer service you expect? - other than trying to build and maintain a stable production plan weeks ahead,
- How to avoid the formation of an excess stock of unnecessary goods in the warehouse and at the same time avoid constant shortages?
- How to educate your own team of employees so that they can effectively cope with the challenges of everyday life?
Together with our consultant, you will determine whether the method is suitable for your organization. If the decision is yes – it's time for the rest of the team – move on to step two.
STEP 2. DDP TRAINING. DEMAND DRIVEN PLANNER
GOAL: TO LEARN AND UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF DDMRP IN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Demand Driven Planner – an innovative planning method responding to the growing volatility, complexity of customer expectations, pressure to reduce inventories and decreasing customer tolerance to waiting.
During the training, we explain the principles of order-driven planning (order of operations, order creation mechanism, conditions for the use of DDMRP, priority management)
During the DDP training, participants:
- They will analyse the mechanisms of action of DDMR on the presented examples;
- compare the classic approach to managing the flow of products and materials through classic MRP with the DDMRP method;
- they will be given tools to make planning decisions;
Thanks to the knowledge gained during the training, DDP and the team will be able to start testing the DDMRP implementation process.
STEP 3. PILOT IN EXCEL – COACHING AND IMPLEMENTATION WORKSHOPS
Before making the final decision to implement the DDMRP system, we suggest conducting a pilot implementation, using the company's current resources and the support of a trainer in the "one-on-one" variant. Thanks to this, the company will quickly and drastically reduce the risk of implementation without involving excessive resources.
We assume the support of an MPM consultant here.
